Lutheran Social Services - Senior Nutrition

LLS Senior Nutrition is more than just a good meal.  The focus of our services is to assist Minnesota's older adults remain healthy, active and live independent lives.  At our Dining Center, nutrtionally balanced are served daily to retired or semi retired individuals 60 and older.  Income or assets are not a consideration.  Older adults may attend meals as often as they are provided. 

Special foods are available for individuals on diabetic, low-salt or low-fat/low cholesterol diets.  Frozen meals are also available to take home.  Menus are published in the local newspapers or over radio stations.  No senior is denied service because of inability to pay.  A suggested donation is requested for each meal.

For older adults unable to attend meals at the Dining Centers, Meals on Wheels volunteers will deliver hot nutrious meals right to your home.

The cost of a years' worth of meals is less that a day in the hospital or nursing home. 

LSS Senior Nutrition is a service of the Lutheran Social Services of Minnesota which serves all people regardless of race, color, creed, religion, national orgin, sex, sexual orientation, disablity or age.  Senior Nutrition is funded in part with federal funds through the Older Americans Act which is administered by the Minnesota Board on Aging and Area Agency on Aging.  LSS complies with the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
