2010 Housing Incentives - New
Construction
These apply to all new construction on
lots purchased from the City:
- City owned lots purchased for new construction will be sold on a
deferred loan, which will convert to a grant upon completion of home
within one year. Deed will not be prepared until house construction
has begun.
- Free electrical services to the site during construction until
permanent meter box(es) are installed or maximum of 5, 000 kwh's
- One year of free utilities ( Up to $2,000).
- Building permit required with 50% of the cost forgiven
- Free family swim pass (One Year).
- Free family school activities pass ( One Year).
- One year free cable TV.
- Free Single golf pass (One year for new members only).
These apply to new
construction on a private lot:
- Free electrical service to the site during construction until
permanent meter box (es) are installed or the maximum of 5,000
kwh's.
- Upon completion of construction, the owner will be provided with
one year of free utilities (up to $1,500), free swim pass, free
family school activities pass, free single golf pass for new members
only (all pass' are for one year) and one year of free cable TV.
2010 Housing Incentives - 1st Time Home Buyers
These apply to first time home buyers
for an existing home:
- Free building permit (Remodel).
- Six (6) months of free utilities (Up to $600.00).
- Free family swim pass (One Year).
- Free family school activities pass (One Year).
- Free single golf pass (One year for new members only).
2010 Commercial
Incentives
These apply to all new commercial construction
in the City of Warren

To be given to any business that is newly established within the
city limits of Warren. Pyramid businesses (such as Amway) do
not quality. Home based businesses do not quality. This
incentive is given to any entrepreneur willing to take a risk at
starting a new business. Upon completion of construction, the
owner will be provided with a utility credit of $3,000.

Building permit required with $75.00 off the
cost of permit.
These apply to first time purchase of existing
commercial building

Utility credit of $1500
-
Free Building permit - Remodeling
NOTE: No incentive for relocated or addition
to existing businesses.
