Agriculture
is the major industry around Warren. Farmland in the Warren
area is very productive and area farms grow a variety of
agricultural crops. The primary crops grown are: Wheat,
Soybeans, Sugarbeets, Barley, Dry Beans, Alfalfa, Potatoes,
Corn, Sunflowers and Canola. Livestock numbers are low in
the Warren area, but Beef, Dairy, Horses and a few Sheep can
be found. A couple of specialty crops that are grown and
marketed in the Warren area are Rhubarb and Asparagus. Aunt
Cookies Red Rhubarb spreadable fruit and Elseth’s U-Pick
Asparagus are located in rural Warren. Warren’s annual
agricultural highlight is the
Marshall County
Fair, which is usually held between the middle of July
to early August each year.
